Become a Global Scholar

Based on your academic qualifications, you have been selected to apply to our prestigious USNGE Global Scholars Program.

The USNGE Global Scholars program recognizes international students for their academic accomplishments. The selection committee looks for aspirational, high-achieving students who want to pursue their undergraduate education in the United States. Global Scholars may use their scholarships at select top-ranked universities across the U.S.

USNGE Global Scholars receive:

Partial scholarships of up to $40,000*

Priority application review status at top-ranked U.S. universities in Computer Science, Engineering, Game Design, and International Business

Recognition in a virtual ceremony with U.S. News & World Report representatives and U.S. academic leaders

Publication of winning essay, video, and photo on the U.S. News Global Education website

The ability to begin degree programs virtually or on campus

U.S. News Global Education Global Scholar certificate

How to Apply*

To begin the application process, fill out the form to schedule an interview with a U.S. university representative.

The process is as follows:

  1. Student fills out and submits the application form below
  2. Students meet with US News Global Education representative for preliminary interview
  3. Qualified students will be invited to schedule an interview with a US university representative and submit a written or video essay answering the question: "If you could change the world in one significant way, what that be and why?"

Evaluation Process

USNGE Global Scholars will be evaluated on:

  • Quality of written or video essay submission
  • Interview with U.S. university representative
  • Academic transcript
  • English language proficiency
